Water Heater Program Changes

In our effort to make responsible financial decisions for the betterment of the membership, the Jay County REMC’s water heater program will change effective March 1, 2008.

While the Jay County REMC is no longer offering repair service on water heaters we believe using electric is the most efficient, clean and cost effective method to heat water. With this in mind the REMC will continue to sell water heaters on a cash and carry basis at a discounted price to our members. REMC will offer a bill credit on an electric water heater not purchased at the REMC for new homes, major remodels or gas to electric conversion. The following plumbers have agreed to resume the warranty work on Bradford White and Rheem Pro Series and Marathon water heaters purchased from the Jay County REMC. Members will be responsible for all charges on parts and service that are not covered through the warranty.
