We, at Jay County REMC, are committed to providing a safe environment to our members and employees. As part of that commitment, due to the COVID-19 virus, we are implementing new safety procedures in our office. Effective immediately, our lobby will be closed to the public and will remain closed until further notice. This change allows us to maintain a healthy workforce and to keep personnel available so that we can continue to provide the service that you expect from us. Rest assured, we are still working for you and will continue to bring world class service to our members.
We recognize that the weeks to come could lead to some financial difficulty as businesses, restaurants, and schools continue to react and follow recommendations by the CDC, Government Officials, and employers. We want to assure you that we are in this with you and will make provisions to ease some of this hardship.
Due to the financial burden caused by the response to COVID-19, Jay County REMC will suspend disconnection for nonpayment effective immediately. We will also waive late payment penalties for those who contact us before their bill is due to request more time to pay. We will also try to be as flexible as possible to provide a grace period for paying late balances and will accept partial payment from those members who need a little more time to pay past due bills. We are committed to assisting our members in their time of need.

Our lobby will continue to be closed until further notice. Please utilize one of our many options to make payment such as over the phone, online, through the mail, or in the night deposit box in front of our building.
We will continue to monitor information on the pandemic and communicate any changes as the situation evolves. Please be patient as we continue to serve you as effectively as possible. These changes may slow down our standard processes but we assure you we are here to serve you as we have for the last 80+ years!
