Safety has always been the top priority at Jay County REMC. That commitment extends beyond our employees because we know safety starts at home. Teaching good safety habits at an early age can make a lasting impact for years to come.
With that in mind, we are excited to officially launch the Little Lineworker Squad, a new program designed for children ages 3-10. The program focuses on teaching electrical safety, energy efficiency, and even what it means to be a part of an electric cooperative.
Throughout the year, members of the Little Lineworker Squad will receive fun packets in the mail filled with games, activities, safety lessons, energy-saving tips, efficiency information, and more.
Families will also receive program information about planned activities and events throughout the year. As additional opportunities become available, members will be notified so they don't miss out on the fun.
Led by our famous mascot, Diggy Piggy, we hope to help children develop safe habits and a better understanding of electricity while having fun along the way.
If you would like to enroll your child(ren) in the Little Lineworker Squad, you can download the application here or contact us at marketing@jayremc.com.
